Ming Jiang Zhu was awarded the Gold Medal for Violin in 2006 & 2008 from the Violin Society of America. Varnished with an attractive antiqued oil varnish of a russet pigment on a yellow ground. Crafted from beautiful tonewoods and produces a full and compelling tone. Fitted with heart style boxwood fittings.
Ming Jiang Zhu, a highly acclaimed maker, has won numerous awards at international competitions. Of note, are the two gold medals won for violin at the prestigious Violin Society of America. His instruments are known for easy playability and superior response.
Made with European tonewoods, the Prelude Model is exceptional for its beautiful tone, excellent depth, and tonal complexity. Top is spruce with fine to medium grain. Two piece maple back, nicely flamed. Ribs and scroll similar to back. Finished in an attractive antiqued oil varnish of a red-brown on a yellow ground.
