The Bech Magnetic Mute is a mute system which ensures the highest quality of sound with no irritating vibration noises, making it the mute of choice for recording artist and serious string players. A combination of acoustic design, high-tech rubber and magnetic ingenuity, the Bech Magnetic Mute represents an important breakthrough in mute technology. They are available for violins, violas and cellos.

*Hi-tech magnet helps the mute find its resting place against the tail piece
*Unique design prevents string abrasion or damage to the instrument

The Bech Magnetic Mute is easy to install. Simply afix self-adhesive pad to the tailpiece with the top of the pad extending slightly above adjacent strings. Then attach the mute to the bridge, in a similar way to a normal orchestral mute, with the magnet facing towards the tailpiece. When you have finished using the mute, take it off the bridge and slide towards the tailpiece where it magnetically attaches to the pad on the tailpiece.
